Visking membranes are cellulose-based tubing that is commonly utilised in applications involving osmosis and filtration because it has a selective porosity. The membranes provide a cost-effective separating method and are simple to utilise.

Molecular Weight Cut-Off (MWCO) is 12000 to 14000 daltons (it is always advisable to use a membrane with a cut off well below the molecular weight of the molecule to be retained).
Pore size of all tubing is 24 angstrom.
