Viscose tip swab with a polystyrene shaft (breakpoint at 45mm from tip), supplied in peel pouch and housed in a tube containing Amies Charcoal transport medium. CE marked and M40-A compliant for microbiological transport systems.

Recommended For: collection and transport of clinically significant or fastidious/non-fastidious microorganisms
Ideal For: 48-hour transport of microbiological specimens including:
Pseudomonas spp., Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Bacteroides spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Propionibacterium spp., Prevotella spp., Neisseria spp., anaerobes, and microaerophiles

Single use only – do not reuse or reprocess

Suitable for surface sampling including shallow wounds

Not recommended for body cavities or areas with bends/poor visibility due to breakpoint shaft

Recovery beyond 48 hours may be unreliable – organism viability may be lost
