Yellow sponge pre-dosed with Peptone Saline Diluent (Maximum Recovery Diluent, MRD), supplied in an easy-open stomacher pouch.
Recommended For: carcass sampling in accordance with EC Commission Regulation 2073/2005. For experienced users only. Suitable where no neutralising is required.
Ideal For: sampling for Salmonella spp. and other organisms including:
TVC, Listeria spp., Staphylococci, Enterobacteriaceae (e.g. Salmonella, E. coli, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, E. sakazakii)
Known Limitations:
Some fastidious organisms may show poor recovery without additional nutrients from carcass or environment
Applicable Standards: EC Commission 2073/2005 on foodstuffs
Shelf Life: 14 months
Sterilisation Method: Gamma Irradiation (SAL 10⁻⁶)
