Description

Woodshaft with Cotton Tip, 5 in Peel Pouch. For Patient use.

Recommended for: Patient sampling techniques

Ideal for: where several swabs are required for one test like MRSA Screening

Shelf Life: 2 years.

Sterilisation Method: Gamma Irradiation to achieve a SAL of 10-6

Alternatives: TS/9-A, TS/9-D

Applicable Standards: CE Marked : Invasive Sampling - Class IIa medical device.

Known Limitations

1. DO NOT REUSE. Single use Device that is not suitable for re-work or reuse.

2. For use on one patient only. Once opened, must be used aseptically & discard any swabs left over.

3. Due to the composition of the shaft material, the product is not recommended for patient use where shaft flexibility is a necessity/required. Use TS/17-A250.

4. Certain viruses and Micro-organisms are sensitive to cotton and maybe stressed or not even recover.

5. DO NOT USE if the outer packaging or seal shows signs of damage or incomplete.

6. DO NOT USE if there is no product identification or LOT number present on pouch.

7. DO NOT USE if LOT number is illegible or device is past expiry date.

8. DO NOT USE if swab bud or shaft appears damaged or broken.

9. Applying excessive pressure during use may lead to failure of the shaft.
