At Ocon Chemicals, we are certified service partners for MAS-100 microbial air monitors, ensuring your cleanroom and critical manufacturing environments maintain accurate, compliant, and reliable air quality monitoring.
Our on-site lab calibration service is designed to minimise disruption, working around your schedule while fully adhering to legislation, manufacturer guidelines, and our ISO-certified processes.
Environmental monitoring in cleanrooms, laboratories, and manufacturing facilities requires precise data. Any deviation in airflow calibration can significantly impact the collection efficiency and accuracy of microbial measurement results. Regular calibration is essential to ensure your instruments operate within the defined specifications, maintaining compliance and quality assurance.
Accurate flow ensures each sample reflects true environmental bioburden, supporting trending, alert/action limits, and batch release decisions. Routine calibration also helps you align with quality frameworks used in Ireland, including ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 14644 cleanroom standards, and EU GMP expectations (e.g., Annex 1 for sterile manufacture). By evidencing “as found / as left” results and traceability, you strengthen audit readiness and data integrity (ALCOA+: attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, accurate).
Under our MAS-100 programme, every unit receives the same rigorous, traceable workflow, performed on site, against NIST-traceable standards, and fully documented. The steps below outline what we check, adjust, and verify to ensure flow accuracy, instrument integrity, and audit-ready compliance.
We verify instrument condition, seals, impactor/cover fit, alarms, and rotor or head assemblies as applicable to your model. We inspect for wear, contamination, and damage that could affect recovery or plate exposure.
Using NIST-traceable reference equipment and validated software, we check the sampler’s flow rate against manufacturer specifications. Where adjustments are permitted, we tune performance and re-verify to confirm stability and accuracy.
Every unit receives a calibration certificate detailing serial number, site, environmental conditions, test equipment IDs, uncertainty where applicable, and full “as found / as left” readings. We apply a calibration label with the due date and retain records under our ISO 9001 document control.
We work to your gowning and entry procedures, provide RAMS (risk assessments and method statements),and coordinate with production to avoid campaign conflicts. For isolators and RABS (MAS-100 Iso series),we calibrate with appropriate extensions or ports, ensuring minimal disturbance to validated setups. If needed, we can schedule out-of-hours visits to protect uptime.
Should an instrument fall outside specification and require parts, our team can source manufacturer-approved spares and arrange repair. To keep monitoring uninterrupted, we can provide short-term loan units (subject to availability) or adjust your sampling plan temporarily in consultation with QA.
Correct handling improves repeatability. We can deliver short refresher briefings covering choosing the correct head/agar plate format; pre- and post-sample checks; avoidance of turbulence and obstructions; and correct documentation of plate ID, location, and exposure time. These practical steps reduce false excursions and retests.
We have worked closely with Life Science companies to develop on-site calibration methodologies that meet industry standards. As a certified service partner, we provide:
From Cork and Dublin to Galway, Limerick and Waterford, our field team supports multi-site estates with a single point of contact, consistent paperwork, and harmonised schedules. We can cluster visits to reduce travel cost and carbon impact and provide consolidated reports for QA review.
Ensure your MAS-100 microbial air monitor is operating at peak performance. Let Ocon Chemicals help you maintain compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency with our expert calibration services.
Most units are completed within 45–90 minutes each, depending on model condition and access.
We plan around your routine; many clients rotate samplers so monitoring continues while one unit is serviced.
Yes, subject to your gowning and entry procedures. We coordinate with Production/QA to maintain state of control.
We can provide interim flow checks between full calibrations if required by your SOPs.
