Ocon Chemicals provides fully certified hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal for labs, hospitals, food & pharma sectors.
With ADR-trained drivers, ISO 9001-certified handling, and nationwide collection, we help ensure compliance, traceability, and peace of mind.
We manage everything from one-off lab clear-outs to scheduled collections across multi-site estates, covering inventory capture, safe segregation, and compliant transport.
Our in-house Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) and documented SOPs ensure every step, from container selection to final treatment, meets EU and Irish requirements, giving you a single accountable partner and fewer admin headaches.
We support you with European Waste Catalogue (EWC) coding, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) review, and packing groups under ADR, as well as these core services:
We also prepare consignment paperwork, manifests and weighbridge tickets where applicable, so audits run smoothly and your compliance file is complete.
You benefit from a process aligned to ADR for road transport and REACH obligations for substance information.
We maintain chain-of-custody records, batch/lot traceability where relevant, and retain certificates of destruction from licensed treatment facilities.
Our team advises on storage time limits, secondary containment, and emergency response equipment, helping you meet EPA expectations and internal EHS standards.
Selecting the correct drum, jerrican or salvage overpack is essential. We advise on compatibility, fill limits, venting where required, and apply compliant hazard and shipping labels. For unknowns, we can arrange identification and safe neutralisation routes to minimise risk and cost.
For schools, universities, and GMP sites, we offer lab-pack services, chemical cupboard audits, signage updates, and toolbox talks on segregation, spill prevention and emergency response. This reduces incidents, prevents incompatible mixing, and ensures your team handles waste confidently and safely.
Where feasible, we prioritise recovery and energy-from-waste over landfill, consolidating compatible streams to reduce movements and carbon impact. We’ll highlight reuse options (e.g., drum take-back where available) and propose schedule optimisations that cut total cost without compromising compliance.
From lab clear-outs to ongoing collections, Ocon’s certified team manages your chemical waste safely, efficiently, and with complete documentation.
