Hanna HI-740200 pH Electrode Storage Cap with Compression Fitting, Pack of 5

Plastic storage caps with a threaded compression collar that keep the pH electrode bulb hydrated and protected during storage or transport, helping to prolong electrode life. Suitable only for pH electrodes with a 12 mm stem diameter. Please check before ordering that these will fit your electrode.

Storing the Electrode

  • Clean: Rinse the probe with the recommended cleaner and blot dry with soft tissue
  • Fill: Pour about 1 cm of HI-70300 storage solution into the cap
  • Seal: Place the probe tip into the cap and tighten the threaded collar

Using the Electrode after Storage

  • Vent: Unscrew the top collar to vent the cap before removing the probe
  • Rinse: Rinse off any storage solution or salts from the glass body
  • Reuse: Keep the cap and collar for future storage

Handling Tips

Handle the probe with care during maintenance and measurement, as dropping it on a hard surface will permanently damage it. Always use the storage cap during storage or transport to protect the bulb and keep it hydrated.
