  • General Description: Phenol is an aromatic alcohol. Various industrial processes for the synthesis of phenol have been proposed.
  • Application: Phenol may be employed for the isolation of deoxyribonucleic acid from Bacillus subtilis. It may be used in the Berthelot color reaction for the quantitative estimation of ammonia.
